Along with everyone else, there was also good ole boy from South Carolina sitting at our table named Billy Bob.

By the time I slumped back in my chair and unbuckled my pants... Billy Bob was just getting the crowd warmed up.

He's quite the storyteller it turned out.

Even if someone would get up for another plate of food... this good ole boy would keep their ear focused on his story.

In addition to learning all about life in the deep south of the US, I also picked up a secret to winning at carnival games (don't play)... and how fascinated police officers in the south are by electric bikes...

Once I thought I had had enough, Billy Bob came out with an interesting anecdote about his parents that tuned everyone right back in.

Billy Bob went on to talk about both of his parents being alive and kicking and already into their 90's.

But instead of hearing about the healthy and rugged lifestyle these country folks have led... ole Billy Boy recounted everything they do that is against common health sense. For example, they eat what sounded like every fried food ever created.

They soak most everything they eat in butter. They enjoy a nip of bourbon frequently.

After a minute and a half of what his parents ate, I felt my own arteries start to clamp shut.

His point was that he wasn't too worried about his own health, because his parents had and were still doing whatever they pleased and seemed just fine.

Then Clark chimed in and said, "But I bet they haven't ever had too much stress in their life."

Billy Bob sat back, paused for storytelling effect, then said. "You know Clark, you're probably right. They go fishing four times a week and really don't have much stress."

And that is a huge secret my friend - especially when you have OCD.

First off... stress just makes your whole system work harder. Inner organs are going overtime and the disquiet you feel is taking a huge toll on you.

When you find a way to overcome stress, you're making huge health deposits into your bank account. Your health savings is not depleted as fast... and if you happen to also take good care of yourself through exercise and good food... your bank account will even grow.

Stress not only aggravates your attempt to cure OCD, it gradually breaks down your vitality and makes you more susceptible to sickness and ill health.

There is a choice to stressing out over OCD. Pop over to this letter to find out how you can be healthy, wealthy and wise - all while treating your OCD.

http://www.ocdanxietyselfhelp.com

Chris:

One Gravedigger's Surprise Health Insight

Last Thursday night a friend was telling me how she went to a local town to claim her grandfather's bones.

See, they are building a dam and where her grandfather was buried back in the 30's will soon become a big lake.

When the dirt was pulled back and the coffin opened, his bones were still together. The knee socks he had been buried with were still on his legs. The other clothes weren't. I don't know, perhaps the clothes were taken off the deceased person back then...

The surprise health insight came from the gravedigger and what he told the family circled around the coffin.

The gravedigger leaned on his shovel and said... "Oh, this man must have been here a long time... you can tell because his bones are still intact and strong looking."

Now, had I been standing there, I would have been perplexed. I've seen enough CSI to know everything begins decomposing upon death. Plus, it's not like the coffins from back then were as well built as they are now.

The gravedigger went on to explain what he meant.

My impression was that he had been doing enough of the "unearthing" lately that his talk and observations were getting him more mileage than he had gotten in years. This is what he said...

"You can always tell when you have one of the old people, because their bones are intact. Back then, they worked hard, ate well and got plenty of fresh air. Anyone from more modern times, their bones are weak looking and breaking down already."

Here on the ranches of Mexico, people still do manual labor. They still drink fresh milk. About everything they eat is organic. There are no McDonald's or Starbucks. Fast food is when you have two people making tortillas at one time.

Of course even this is changing. The once totally fresh diet is being replaced by processed foods and all sorts of junk that you can readily buy.

The take home lesson from the gravedigger for those of us with OCD is this:

OCD really does feed off of what we put into our bodies. That crusty old saying that no one even pays attention to anymore... "You are what you eat," is true.

When you eat well... clean foods... vegtables... fruits... things that are less processed... you just feel better! Your body just works better. You don't get sick as much as others (or at all). Your digestion is optimal and you can fall asleep usually upon hitting the pillow - its automatic.

Whenever anyone talks about eating well, it always revolves around losing weight or being forced to change your diet because your doctor made you... because you have diabetes or high blood pressure.

What if your anxiety and obsessive thoughts began dying down in conjunction with the foods you ate. In other words... the more healthy you ate... the better you felt. Would that be motivation to put the burger down? Would that be reason enough to not bring sodas, or sweets into your house to begin with?

I don't know what it would take a person struggling with OCD and anxiety to see the connection between the foods we eat... and how we feel.

Even the gravedigger can see the ULTIMATE result of a healthy diet, exercise, clean air....

... so is there one thing you could eliminate from your diet that isn't helping you. Then later, would there be one new thing you could begin doing to make your diet healthier?

http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com

How This One Dating Mistake Can Heal Your OCD

Back when I was 18 years old, I went to Argentina for a student exchange.

I was acting as a cultural representative of the United States. And I now shudder to think of the culture I was “representing” to Argentina.

When I carried my suitcases into the airport in Buenos Aires I knew three words in Spanish… Hola… Cerveza… and Gracias!

At that delicate and innocent age… my three thoughts were… girls… beer… and going out to meet girls.

I now firmly believe Argentina’s ensuing economic crisis could have been avoided had they sent a budding entrepreneur or economist.

Instead, I spent a year glad-handing friendly people, cheering for the Boca Juniors, drinking Quilmes Beer and learning enough Spanish to meet as many beautiful woman as possible.

Red-blooded American virtues were indeed represented at every moment.

Now I see the error of my ways.

And this has a lot to do with how OCD treatment is typically approached.

Let me explain.

There was one young woman I met almost the first day I showed up at school. Everyone called her “Piny.” Don’t ask me what it meant or how she got it. I simply remember she was a stunning and beautiful young woman. Her smile was radiant and I still remember her sweet voice and that way she would say “Hola Crees.” (Chris isn’t so easy to pronounce in Spanish).

Whenever I tried to talk to her, my limited Spanish and her beauty left me scratching the dirt with my toes. I was tongue-tied and in awe by her.

The job of woman in Argentina is to ignore men… and the job of men is to pursue the woman ignoring them. And this law of the land meant not only did Piny basically ignore me, but I could hardly say anything to win her over.

So I gave up on her.

Pursuing her was obviously going to be an uphill battle. I was impatient and just knew there had to be less difficult woman I could meet and pursue.

As a result of this initial difficulty, I never really met someone I fell head over heels for like Piny. I wanted things to be easy.

The most ironic thing, is that within months of meeting Piny, I really could hold a conversation in Spanish and would have been able to charm the girl I REALLY liked.

How does this little story relate to medication and OCD?

Well I think the tendency of taking medication is a little like my adolescent style of pursuing woman in Argentina.

I wanted the route of least resistance. I wanted results immediately. But in the end, even though I was dating a very beautiful young woman, I had settled for second best.

I knew in my heart exactly how happy I could be… how good I could feel… if I would have had the balls to face rejection and pursue Piny – despite the walls of resistance.

Finding alternative treatments for OCD can be a scary process. You feel out of sorts and you want to have a solution to your OCD fast…

… medications can give you immediate results… and for someone in crisis, this may be a necessary step.

But the day will eventually come, where all you have to keep your life glued together is that medication. And when it stops working properly, you must change your combination of meds, or the medication itself.

There is always that void of being able to really, Really, REALLY feel potent and powerful on your own… naturally. So you are left to lead a life of could have’s or settling for second best.

When a family member of mine was diagnosed with depression, OCD and a whole host of other things… the best anyone could say was “You will be taking these meds for the rest of your life.”

Is that all we can hope for… to be given drugs for the rest of our life to feel better?

No. Because there are REAL alternatives to pill therapy.

You really can diminish your OCD and anxiety and depression by using resources that have been available for FREE… for thousands of years to humans.

And the process of successfully conquering anxiety… depression… OCD through things you learn and apply – forges a level of confidence and accomplishment that will transform your life.

In fact, following just six of these ancient ideas has allowed my business partner Clark to make OCD a non-issue in his life for coming on 50 years now. Those are results that make you stand up and pay attention.

If you want to get the scoop on what these old school principles of success are and how you can use them to get DEEP peace and freedom from OCD click here.

Peace,

Chris

My Surprise Vote for President

Today is election day in the US. And while millions...

...or is it thousands of people go out to cast their vote for President of the United States of America I have made a big decision...

Because no matter who gets elected, my decision is to take more responsibility for myself...

Whoever takes office, I'm still going to have to get up and exercise each day.

I'm still going to have to choose to eat well. And no matter who gets elected, no one will take care of my mental health for me. That one is up to me.

By failing to take these things seriously, my family is the one that will suffer, because I will not be doing the best I can do for them. It's as simple as that. And one other thing...

However things turn out... one thing will not change. I will always have OCD.

And having OCD means that each day I get up and must create a state of mind that all but GUARANTEES I will have peace of mind throughout the day. Because for me to even consider one more day of suffering with OCD, when I know it doesn't have to be like that... is simply not an option.

Look at how everyone is screaming bloody murder about the economy, the world, the next president... while this is going on I simply must follow my Six steps that I developed to control my OCD. Because allowing these stresses to get to me, mean that I will loose that wonderful peace and happiness I have each day.

If you are scared about the economy or what the future holds and you have anxiety or OCD - there is a totally natural treatment that you can do.

It will cause stress to melt away. Rituals will probably STOP. And the same will happen with unwanted thoughts when you've been practicing my Six steps long enough.

I simply cannot be at my best, in these trying times if I'm carrying emotional baggage, bad health, or something like OCD around with me. Over the years when times got tough, I always had a fail-safe back-up plan to cause me to sail over difficulty.

If you're ready to start this next four years out with a new plan for healing OCD and getting your body and mind stronger than they've ever been... follow me and find out how !

Cheers

http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com/

The Thought-less Formula

When I was Five years old, I asked my dad if he would get me a subscription to Playboy.

I will reveal his answer in a moment, because it is crucial to understanding how you can use it to combat disturbing, obsessive thoughts.

But first a word on disturbing thoughts and the causes of OCD.

Because almost everyday we receive emails down at OCD Central on how to deal with specific thoughts.

These questions range from how to handle obsessive thoughts surrounding death, to unspeakably repulsive sexual thoughts. These thoughts are like a glass of sewage water you simply must drink. Each sip tastes worse and it never gets any easier to digest. In fact, for many, time makes it worse.

Well that is how it seems most of the time... at least at first.

People along with specific thought questions and if my program will work for their specific case, ask how they got OCD in the first place.

I believe it is a waste of my brain cells to try to figure out what causes OCD. There are enough researchers taking up that task. I feel my best time is spent figuring out what kind of life I want to create.

And if you struggle with OCD, you should simply focus on how to get better, not figure out why you are tormented by rituals, thoughts and images.

What is true is that people get OCD for different reasons. There are some who have it from early childhood. It may take almost 20 years for others to discover they have OCD!

Disturbing thoughts are much the same.

I do not help people cure an aversion to germs any different than I would cure a man suffering from a compulsive thought he is going to die. There is no brand of thought any worse than another. The test if a thought is disturbing or not is:

Does it effect YOUR life or not.

Curing OCD starts with accepting you have it, then rolling up your sleeves and learning effective ways to live with it.

So now back to my dad.

I remember we were in the car. I was five and probably just big enough to sit in the front seat. He had his hands firmly around the steering wheel when I looked over at him and asked.. "Dad, can I get a subscription to Playboy?"

Without flinching or even taking his eyes off the road he said:

"Sure Chris."

"Great Dad." I said

"But Chris... How are you going to pay for it?" He asked.

"Hmmmmm..." Was my mind responding.

I believe if my dad had flown off the handle, or given me a lecture, or even said "No!" I would have likely become obsessed with following through, or rebelling in other ways.

The energy produced from going against the grain can become addictive.

Instead, my dad agreed with me and stole my momentum right out from under me.

An OCD thought - no matter what it is... operates in much the same way. If you yell at it... and tell it to "Stop!" you risk anchoring it further.

So regardless how you got OCD... or how severe or personally disturbing your specific obsessive thought might be... you can begin changing the way you respond to thoughts. This can take a few times to begin sinking in, but once it does, you feel a change at a very deep level.

There are other ways to accelerate the process of letting the thoughts you don't want - dissolve for good. If you simply need to know everything right now, so you can feel better... follow this link and get my complete course where you can access everything.

The Six Master Keys to Healing OCD

Mexican Supermarket

I was in the supermarket a week ago - it was an absolute mob scene.

Right now, there are tons of tourists in town to enjoy their family and the beach before the kids start school. Mexicans typically travel as a family unit, which means everyone from the grandmother to the newborn baby goes along.

This family unity extends to getting groceries. The supermarket is exceptionally busy right now.

For the uninitiated - it is chaos...

... Carts banging into one another... kids running down the aisles... apples rolling off the displays...

To walk in and see all this, you will notice your heartbeat pick up and and your mind accelerate to match the bzzzzzzzz in the room.

If allow yourself to be bothered by the stress... the shouting... the lack of "order"... spilled food being put back onto display... you might begin to really hate the moment and situation. There is no way to control any of it. You are at the mercy of the situation.

Or are you?

Because imagine you walk into this scene of hectic disorder. But this time, you get real quiet. You cease to put labels into your mind saying "This is good," or "This is bad."

No, now you simply get into your breathing and look at the supermarket scene and quietly stand there... observing it.

You behold it for what it is, neither good or bad.

You are so still and quiet in your mind, that you even can detect harmony and order in what could also be a loud mob scene to anyone else. You have conquered the mind noise and physical chaos by accepting it and sinking deeper and deeper into the quiet that starts unfolding around you.

Here's the deal.

An OCD thought is really no different than a Mexican supermarket over summer vacation.

When you're in a hurry and trying to fill your cart as fast as you can go. When you respond to the chaos around you and swear at the pushiness of others. When you get sucked into the bzzzzzzz of the moment, your OCD comes out of its box.

But if you can step back, get quiet and simply accept the existence of OCD within you at a deep, Deep level. Maybe deeper than you've ever allowed yourself to go, the stress will melt away and you will have a different feeling come up.

You will begin to be in control... in the middle of disorder.

A new power and sense of dominance will glow in your body.

You will never be the same again.

This one moment of "illumination" will give you the juice to simply know you can cure OCD.

This is a fact.

Even if you've always felt your mind is a mess, you will begin to have a deep level of acceptance when you get quiet in this way. And it is when you have acceptance of yourself, acceptance of the fact you have obsessive compulsive disorder, that the Keys to Healing OCD will unlock the cure.

Repeat "let go" three times as you exhale and breath deep.

http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com/

Secret OCD Bathing Ritual

Last Friday afternoon, I went to the beach.

Even though I live in a city on the ocean, I'm not a sun worshipper or like to boil my skin to the texture of a raisin. I don't hang out at the beach much.

This day something called me to sit on the sand and watch the waves. The temperature even a block off the beach was HOT, but with the gentle breeze coming off the ocean, the beach was refreshing and forced you to relax and let go.

And I was glad I went to the beach because this is what I discovered.

Life is stressful. Even when you have all sorts of techniques and life principles you practice to keep a state of balance, you need time and places to recharge the batteries. When you give yourself this time, your mind can breath and it becomes HAPPY again.

Sitting on the beach, I finally got warm enough that I went into the water. The ocean was comfortably warm. Any remaining stress that the sun and wind hadn't cooked out of me, was washed clean by the water.

When I walked out of the ocean, I was glowing with happiness once again!

Methinks this going to the beach is a new ritual I should adopt. It is not something I will do every day and maybe not even once a week. But if work, or life or what I think of as stressful starts to close in on me... I now have a way to wash it away - when nothing else is working.

See, usually when stress is taking its greatest toll on us (which is also when OCD is at its strongest) we don't think to "go to the beach."

You may not have access to the ocean, so what can YOU do? (Remember, this is a very effective way to unplug your OCD).

Think about ways you can get back to nature.

I don't mean anything fancy that requires going to REI or purchasing special clothes or gadgets. I mean, how can you walk out your door and make contact with trees... water... wildlife... desert... or mountains?

I just watched an interesting documentary about a guy living in the middle of San Francisco who became a world famous "expert"on the wild parrots living in his very city. He started by walking out his back door and feeding the colorful critters roosting in the nearby trees. It took off from there.

After watching that film on parrots I realized I didn't have parrots and I didn't want to befriend the stray dogs in my neighborhood, or corral any ants to feed... so I chose the beach.

I think you can see what I mean.

You can begin anywhere to find a way to let go, breath deep and change your scenery. You will gain an immediate lift in your mood. You will have cause to contemplate happiness, as opposed to stress or what havoc OCD is creating in your life.

You will give your mind space to breath... and this is when inspiration and BIG changes can start to happen.

To really take these tips to the next level and trully cure your OCD, click on this link to get the Six Keys to Healing Obsessive Compulsive Disorder course.

Don't Cut My Cojones Off!

I recently read an article about the successful use of deep brain stimulation for treatment of OCD and torretes.

This is done by surgically inserting an electrode into your head. The idea was first developed for sufferers of Parkinsons.

Medical technology is a good thing... but

I recently also heard a story about a Doctor I once met at conference in Tampa Florida. He reported one of his patients actually getting castrated (by a different doctor) as an answer to persistent pain in his back! This lopping off of his huevos didn't fix the pain. It was not until this man used the Doctor's back brace that he was fixed.

There are certain procedures you simply can't undo.

I am for people who have OCD finding a way to end suffering, lead a happy life, and understanding how to cure OCD. I am sympathetic to anyone who sufferers. I also know a person will always do the best they can with the information they have at the moment.

I therefore feel it is understandable when people don't like to take drugs to feel better, but do it anyway because they don't have other options offered by their Doctor to them.

Invasive surgeries, direct brain stimulation (DBS), or the newest medical flavor of the month may well be effective at halting and helping OCD.

But what if a person doesn't need to go even that far?

In that same article about the benefits of DBS, it also states "But it doesn't work for all patients."

I cannot imgine the horror of the patient who got castrated, only to find out it didn't help!

There are other options to healing OCD. Much less risky and a whole lot easier than going under the knife. The problem with the course "The Six Keys to Healing OCD" is despite being proven to work in almost a half century of testing by Clark Thompson - they are almost boring compared to fancy medical technology.

Think about it.

When you see that common everyday objects and "free" resources that everyone has available can be used to cure OCD - there is no market for pharmaceuitcal companies to make money. There is no way for a neurosurgeon to do anything to you. There is no need for teams of engineers to develop new technology to solve a problem - nature has a free answer to.

Perhaps there is someone that can't be instantly healed by what Clark teaches. And maybe here are people that need more than what a course like the Master Keys can cure.

But I for one would prefer to try anything and everything before submitting myself to invasive medical procedures.

Standing Around - Exercising

I opened my email a few mornings ago and saw yet another question regarding proper exercise for a person with OCD.

In the course, Six Master Keys to Healing OCD, I reveal a treasure chest of programs and answers for people on how to exercise when you have OCD.

This email was asking me specifically what I do on a daily basis.

Now, depending on the season, if Im travelling and what I have available to me will dictate some of what I do.

However, one strange "exercise" I do is standing motionless.

For any westerner reading about this exercise, it probably sounds both like it isn't exercise and also similar to sitting around motionless. This sitting around motionless is what most folks do with horrible consequences to their health and mental state of affairs.

My standing practice is very different.

Here's a passage about standing practice from the Xing Yi Health Maintenance and Internal Strength Development book we read from yesterday:

"Releasing tension and stress and relaxation lead to an overall feeling of comfort. The postures... produce a calm and pleasant state that is both conductive to health and increases martial power. Although standing is a surprisingly taxing exercise (muscles will ache!), it is always practiced completely without mental coercion in the relaxed state. Many of the images will cause feelings of warmth, sudden release of tension in various parts of the body and a peaceful state of mind."

"Exercise which puts undue stress on the body will ultimately begin to tear the body down... But there is a world of difference between appropriate exercise which develops the whole person and mindless repetition of movements without mind/body unity which may prove more detrimental than beneficial."

Folks, releasing tension and building a stronger and stronger mind/body connection is the way to go if you have OCD.

The amazing benefits of "standing practice" would require books to reveal everything. But in addition to other sensible exercise (and I don't mean easy or watered down) standing is a stupendous building block of physical and mental union... forged in a relaxed state of tension.

This is strange, I know.

But when you can sustain a standing posture for minutes... and beyond... while maintaining proper breath and attention... you are building a state of mind that makes OCD impossible to be a part of.

Before doing my Sixteen Health Maintenance exercises I like to do standing practice for 20 minutes on each side. It could be less and, but I like a bare minimum of 15 minutes for each side.

This practice allows me to keep relaxed attention throughout the day. When I practice regularly I don't fight thoughts and I stay physically relaxed almost without effort.

If you sit in front of a computer, you will in time correct postural problems that cause back aches and constant tension.

To stand successfully, you are constantly letting go at a deeper and deeper level in your body and mind.

Word of warning: this exercise when properly done is extremely effective. It actually allows people to "get a workout" without raising your heartrate. Inner organs are strengthed while fortifying and correcting posture.

For me standing is a secret key to health that is relatively unknown outside of select martial arts circles. Anyone with OCD would improve their mental and physical health in massive ways by standing.

The Path Least Walked

This morning I finished my Sixteen Health Maintenance exercises and walked out to my terrace. I had a big smile on my face. I was ready to roll.

Birds were stirring and the sun was already shooting rays that made me squint. My mind was at peace and my body felt warm, relaxed and extremely energized.

Later, I sat down to have breakfast and read this passage about the problems of insufficient exercise from the "Xing Yi Nei Gong Health Maintenance and Internal Strength Development" book.

This is not meant to scare you, but point an arrow exactly where you can influence your OCD in a HUGE self help way.

"Because change occurs so rapidly in both nature and society in our modern world, people of today have to cope with threats to their health that were nonexistent in the past. For instance, the development of labor saving devices... increased competition in the work place have all contributed to increasing stress of life while reducing the opportunity for exercise. Particularly harmful are the disastrous results of insufficient exercise, and this problem deserves special attention."

Indeed.

You see, all those "modern lifestyle factors" are directly responsible for agitating OCD. When our physical health goes to pot, our mental health is right next to it.

We've talked about this before. You know I'm big on "certain" types of exercise that are almost magic for reversing OCD. When you have OCD it is not about dropping weight, or looking good at the beach - or really for anyone other than YOU to feel good... inside and out.

OCD begins to retreat from the mentally strong. To get mentally strong, you also must build up your physical health.

We will keep on this theme, and I will reveal more on how to exercise if you have OCD.

I guarantee you have never heard some of these tips before. These exercise principles will allow you to gain immediate waves of well being, a radiant peace that starts from within and of course will allow you peel off layers of fat if you're game.

But weight loss is not the goal... at least initially. To be able to start and end your day, hitting your pillow at night with peace, joy and well being that grows. This is the path if you want to cure OCD. It is also the path least travelled.

http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com

OCD Hypnotic Diet Trial

I went almost four days without food several years ago. This was on purpose. It was a fast which I decided would be strictly water only.

By the end of the fast, I didn’t even feel like eating. My mind was at peace and my body felt light and clean.

Many people think I’m some kind of nut for even doing this.

Of course, 3 days is nothing in the world of water fasting. Paul Bragg, the grandfather of the health movement in the US would do a 7 to 10 day fast 4 times a year. He would also go without food once a week.

There are good reasons for these strange practices of not doing what we are genetically programmed to do (eat!). A fast cleanses your body and gives your digestive tract a much needed rest. There are reams of other positive things for your mind and body a fast does also.

I will talk about the awesome power of fasting to help OCD at a later time (This you WILL want to know about), because I now want to give you a very special OCD self help insight.

What does your OCD and the evening news have in common?

Now think deeply about this question… read it a second time, then think hard because this is really important.

Well what is the purpose of the evening news? If you said to deliver you the news – you are wrong. The purpose of the evening news is to get YOU to actually watch the news.

Think about it. If the news was to report that:

“John had a good day today… he got up, kissed his wife, went to work, came home, ate dinner and went to bed a happy man…”

You would turn the channel.

The news tends to broadcast images and stories of wars, crime, tragedy and general controversy. And we watch it – because it captivates us!

There is a part of our collective human wiring that seeks that type of negative stimulus out. If you doubt we like to occasionally make ourselves “feel bad” then unless you live in a cave and meditate 12 hours a day… I don’t believe you (wait… living in a cave and meditating is even more torturous!).

The fact of the matter is that if people didn’t like flagellating themselves with violent images or messages, Hollywood would shut down and the evening news would go the way of the buggy whip.

OCD is the same damn thing as the evening news! OCD gorges itself on your attention to its disturbing and annoying stimulus. The more OCD can get you all stirred up and excited… the more well fed, happy and sassy OCD can feel.

When you learn to go without feeding OCD… putting it on a stimulus fast if you may… you will find OCD finally start to give up on you.

Begin paying attention to what kind of stimulus you feed yourself. Do you play video games… watch violent movies or movies that have shocking content… do you watch or read the news and listen to inflammatory editorials… do you participate in workplace or family drama…

Well I for one have done some of all the above. At times consciously, and at earlier points in my life… unconsciously. And each time the results are the same.

Each time I start feeding my inner need for shock, drama, or horror I feel like one part of my brain is satisfied – while the rest of my being is screaming:

“Quit it Chris!”

For today… ask yourself if the news you watch or the movies you seek out leave you better or worse off.

Even one day free of OCD thoughts and rituals will give you enough space to look back upon what you feed OCD and decide to put your OCD on a fast.

In closing, I don’t mean to suggest you have to eliminate every stimulus from your life if you want to cure OCD. You do need to become aware of how things effect you. Then you are in control to choose how you want to respond to your world around you. You can free yourself finally to be in charge and in control – and stop being a mindless victim.

If you still can’t get free of OCD and want to know how to get a day’s peace starting as early as TODAY… follow this link to get the Master Keys to Healing OCD course now.

Canadian OCD Cure

You can always spot a Canadian tourist in Mexico.

97% of the time, they are wearing a t-shirt, pin, hat or symbol bearing the Canadian flag. At first I found this a strange habit because I'm from the United States. Then I figured out the real reason.

See, all of my readers from other countries know Americans typically have little interest or knowledge of what happens outside the US borders.

Most of the rest of the world stays on top of a much broader smorgasbord of news. Not only do you know your own countries politics and dilemmas, you have your finger on the pulse of the world.

Obviously there are exceptions.

There are other ways to identify Canadians other than the brandished flag. I will avoid spelling out those at this time.

One time in Honduras, I was at the butt end of some serious anti-American sentiment and when questioned by an angry mob where I was from… said "Canada"… and they quickly went back to ignoring me.

Thank you Canada for that save!

The mystery of why Canadians brandish their flags can help you cure OCD too.

What I mean is this:

Tell me what the worst type of abuse to the human psyche is?

If you said, “being ignored” I would agree with you.

See, Canadians wear flags because Mexicans and other tourists have historically thought they were Americans. If a Canadian is asked about American politics or social goings on… they can carry on an intelligent conversation with you.

However, try asking even an educated Mexican or American some basic questions about Canada. You will only hear head scratching and see eyes without a clue staring back at you.

Tired of being ignored, the Canadian solution was to come out and show their colors.

Here’s a fact:

Your OCD feeds off of attention.

Worse than a politician’s ego, your OCD wants… no needs… you to feed it and care for it. If you ignore it for even a day, it begins waving flags and poking you where it hurts.

Ignoring your OCD long enough, will guarantee it shrinks up and dries out… like a grape turning into a raisin.

Of course turning your back on an element of your life that has been around for years is a tough business. Your OCD will come out waving flags blasting fireworks and wanting desperately to be noticed. But don’t give it that attention!

There are many ways to leave OCD in the dust, so you can simply move on with your life and stop carrying it around with you.

But for today, simply remember that OCD feeds off your attention. The quieter you get your mind, the more frustrated OCD gets with you. If you manage to “stay real quiet,” OCD will get up and leave you be.

To get the complete course of action that maps out exactly how to quiet your mind – and what to do if OCD comes knocking again, follow this link here.

Why You Have OCD

Two years ago in April, my arch nemesis was put into my world of business. His name is Bob and the moment I saw him, I knew I didn't like him. He spoke with a southern accent and had a country boy arrogance that stretched my nerves to breaking.

When I came belly aching to my girlfriend, she was nice enough to remind me:

“Chris, what we dislike in others is many times what we dislike in ourselves.”

“Great… thanks,” I said.

But she was right and I knew it.

I basically avoided this character and tried not to ever ADMIT I was thinking ill thoughts to anyone for fear of that sage advice being thrown back at me.

One day Bob threw coffee on a man who was sitting in his seat. He had asked him to get up twice however first.

I still to this day can’t figure out if he is simply a not-to-nice person and I see it. Or what it is in me that I don’t like that he has.

But the good thing about people like Bob coming into our lives, is they can act as HUGE blessings to us.

If everything is going well in our lives, we usually don’t have much incentive to change anything. I mean, why would you fix what is not broken?

So an especially challenging boss or personality that gets us stirred up can be a special teacher. These people can be the messengers of lessons we desperately need to learn… and either are sweeping under the carpet on purpose, or unintentionally.

Perhaps Bob is a great blessing then.

If my perception is Bob is a great teacher for me, my attitude will be strengthened and give me the courage to push forward and figure the puzzle out.

And if people in our outer lives are challenging, think of your family. Those can be some of the greatest lessons just waiting to be tackled.

If you want to stretch yourself even more… Now think about your OCD.

Because when I think about OCD, I think you have a gift just waiting to be unwrapped. I do not mean to say it is pleasurable to hit yourself in your head with a hammer – because it feels wonderful to stop. However, for some reason, you have been given a difficult but solvable puzzle.

Some people use the torment of OCD to become more and more bitter and fearful. And others come across rare courage to find the light and the way.

I write this blog and created my product to tell you there is hope and healing from OCD. The world is filled with absolutely brilliant people that have OCD – and you are one of those individuals. The exact same techniques you can learn to conquer your mind, can also then be channeled into doing positive works on this earth.

Can you find the blessing in OCD today?

http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com

Healing at 79 Years of Age

I remember watching a TV program as a kid, where a Yoga master fit himself into a transparent box, only big enough for 8 bowling balls.

To this day, I can’t imagine how this is possible, yet I have been witness to numerous impressive feats by mere humans.

For example, last week I was in Guadalajara Mexico.

One of the day trips I made was to see the town of San Juan De Los Lagos. The Cathedral there is host to hundreds of people each day who go seeking answers to prayers, or to give thanks for prayers answered.

I expected to find a quiet, sanctuary of peace. Instead, the church was packed with people.

And these were not tourists fresh off a bus, snapping pictures and buying souvenirs. At least a quarter of the people were coming through the main entrance, then dropping onto their knees and walking on their knees – all the way to the front.

This was not a carpeted Cathedral. This was not even a smooth stone. And these were not 10 year old kids with perfect healthy knees.

The floor was wooden slats with deep grooves in between each piece. In a few spots, you could even see pot holes that had been created.

And the majority of the faithful kneeling the 50 yards to the front were well over 40 years old… some even in their late 70’s from what I could tell.

It was an amazing site to behold… especially after working with American tourists myself, who have had replaced knees and hips and can hardly walk on two feet more than 15 minutes without a break.

You just have to wonder at the faith that will motivate a 70 year old to crawl on their knees… without hands… for half a football field.

Just being in that church made your ego want to shrivel up and disappear. It’s hard not to be filled with awe at the architecture and the mental fortitude at elderly people making that kind of effort.

There was one husband and wife team kneeling and doing the journey hand in hand. They were both overweight, and the wife was struggling terribly – from the very outset. Whatever was spurring them on was substantial, because the wife looked to be in excruciating pain.

But she kept going. She was lucky her husband was right alongside her. Once committed to making it to the front, absolutely nothing was going to stop her.

When I look at my own life and the things I let bother me, they seen laughable when I look at the character of those people in that church. And I was only there for an hour. That is what it is like there most every day!

If you are struggling with OCD, I want you to know there is hope. You may not have experienced a miraculous healing yet… but if you keep moving forward, one step at a time, you will be rewarded richly.

What would you do to be free of every single painful symptom of OCD?

How would your life be different if you didn’t have rituals to fiddle with, or disturbing thoughts bubbling up in your head – when you least want them.

If you haven’t already obtained your copy of “The Six Master Keys to Healing OCD” simply follow this link here and get your answers now.

And I promise you the journey can be full of rewards and even fun – without even half the effort those faithful pilgrims endured in San Juan de Los Lagos.

http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com/

Mental Weight Lifting

Eight years ago during a July heat wave in Minnesota, I stood before an open door - scratching my head.

I was looking at boxes and boxes of old letters, pictures, and various nick nacks I had accumulated over the years. Never an obsessive hoarder, I was what you could call a selective pack rat of important memories and memorabilia (and things I had no idea what to do with).

As I stood scratching my head, my decision to start throwing these memories out set me moving.

A friend had passed me the book "Clearing Your Clutter with Feng Shui."

I'm neutral about the whole Feng Shui deal, but the book almost electrocuted my brain.

The message was radical... keeping and accumulating things is weighing you down while mentally stressing you out. Letting go will allow new conditions to materialize in your life.

As a dust cloud of action rose up, I began throwing away pictures of people from my past. Some of the people I never liked to begin with, yet for some reason held onto. Maybe my ego felt one day Encyclopedia Britannica was going to call me and request all the documentation of my life.

Next were old letters. If you are under 25 and reading this, that is how people communicated before email.

Then came books I didn't need or want around anymore. And no, I didn't throw them out... I took most to the library where I could visit them if I missed them.

There was also an early 1980´s t.v. and plenty of micro projects I had promised to finish as soon as I learned how to weld, repair ceramic tile, and super glue broken trophies back together (time line on those projects was looking like infinity).

I packed my car full of old clothes and that t.v.

I decided to take everything to a homeless shelter.

The last difficult decisions to make were on my journals. I had written prolifically for several years in my early 20's. Sure, I was impressed at memories that came flooding back and details from my time in Argentina. But most of the writing was of no value to me.

The result of my days work?

My head actually hurt! I was in pain on the left side of my head.

The rest of my body and mind however, felt like 1000 lbs of weight had been lifted off.

I was walking on air and amazingly clear about everything in my life. It was as if I had been standing in a dark room fiddling around for years looking for the light switch - and now it was suddenly on and illuminating everything.

This decluttering event took place years ago and to this day, if I'm feeling lethargic or scattered in my mind, I find things to throw out. Although the effect is not as psychologically pronounced as that first time - I always feel better after.

If you want a very quick and effective way to clear space in your life for healing OCD, dive into your possessions today and see what you can let go of. Moving this baggage out of your life creates what is called a vacuum - and it permits you to welcome new information into your space that can help you exactly where you stand.

http://www.obesssive-compulsive-disorder-help.com/

How to Make a Thought Walk Away From You

Howdy,

Chris here again today.

OCD thoughts can be just like a "very special" boss I once had. And the strategy I adopted to deal with her shenanigans, can also help you short circuit OCD thoughts.

Let me explain.

My former boss, whom I will here call "Vera" was a very talented woman, who secretly thrived on drama. What I mean is that the more she succeeded in getting you stirred up, the more she fed a very hungry inner need for this drama.

I fell into her trap once upon getting back from vacation. I was well within the established company guidelines for vacation time. Vera, upon seeing me tanned, rested and eager for work, disrupted my pleasant thoughts with "Chris, I need to speak to you after the meeting."

"Sure Vera, what is this regarding?" I said.

"I will talk to you after the meeting." Vera said.

Already sensing her anger, I wanted to get to the bottom of this now... not after the meeting.

"Well Vera, I can see you are troubled by something, why don't you just tell me what's going on."

"Chris... I'm busy right now, I will talk to you right after the meeting!"

The first victory was already won by Vera. She had succeeded in getting me stirred up, because I really couldn't figure out what was going on, but I knew it wasn't good.

So I spent our half hour meeting quietly fuming and getting all pumped up for a confrontation. She was famous for confrontations.

When the meeting finished, I went right up to her, and she directed me to walk alongside her.

I was then brow-beaten for taking way more than the authorized vacation time. I said that was incorrect and you can go and check the documentation now.

It really didn't matter however what was right or wrong. Vera had succeeded in sucking me into her drama and my day which started great, was suddenly altered.

Now fast forward about one year.

Vera again gives me a sucker punch when I'm least expecting it. And as I had been practicing in qigong and tai chi, I simply sunk deep within myself. I went to a place that was a rock on the bottom of the ocean. It didn't matter if way above me, on the oceans surface there was a hurricane. The rock at the bottom of the ocean is still and peaceful.

The effect on Vera?

She finished what she came up to tell me... but she suddenly finished what she was saying and - walked away.

I was centered, at peace, and giving off no emotions to nurture her inner tiger. She couldn't move me, and for a hungry predator, there was easier game in the office to be had.

An OCD thought feeds off your emotions as well. That is why it is extremely important to learn how to get centered. Because when you are at the center, everything from your pestering boss, to an OCD thought has less to no control over you. It just is.

Does this mean I now have mastered office politics and conquered my brain. No, not at all.

But I have taken a huge leap to deepen the peace I can tap into at will. This has and will continue to make an impact in my life, by not getting drawn into battles of the ego.

Anyone can learn to become quiet, even if your brain is heated up and noisy all day and night. This skill alone, when cause a nasty accuser, or a horrible thought, to turn around and walk away from you.

http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com

Is Your OCD Karma?

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_pp7B9_Qgw_8/SEXfABp5S_I/AAAAAAAAAAg/QtmGZCh3qt4/s320/Sharon+Stone.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5207813735660997618" />
At the Cannes Film Festival in France, Sharon Stone was asked this week her opinion about the tragic earthquake in China. Her response was a suggestion it was Karma for China's treatment of Tibet.

Whatever your opinion of Sharon's remarks, anyone with OCD might find something in common with her thinking.

Let me explain.

I believe OCD is genetic and runs in families. I see OCD as a part of me... much like I would view freckles or those pointy elbows in my family.

Now, I obviously wasn't motivated to heal my freckles or consider pointy elbows to be intrusive in my lifestyle (well at 3:00am when I accidently bump Carmen, she might say otherwise).

My point is that what most people with OCD do not have is acceptance. There is a magical type of thinking that results and grows. Much like a type of instant Karma.

In fact, whoever came up with those tip jars that say "Good Karma" are hacking right into the OCD persons wiring. Because that is exactly the kind of cause and effect you begin to build your life around... if I don't do this... this will happen... therefore I do this ritual to keep the balance.

When you begin seeing OCD as part of you, you can begin accepting yourself at deeper and deeper levels. The Karma around OCD begins dissolving.

The added benefit is you will avoid ever having to stick your foot in your mouth because you are learning how to accept and dissolve your OCD.

Does This Count as OCD? "What's the most effective thing I can be doing with my time this moment?" is drilled into you.

The inventors of the Day Timer would be horrified to know how long the musician in this video allows for his OCD rituals before a show.

Here's a video you might want to watch. It speaks volumes about what people with OCD suffer with - mostly in private.

I hope you are as touched as I was by these mini-stories.

Now that you have watched that video, reflect on the courage it took to openly come out of the closet with those rituals.

The act alone of opening up about OCD can cleanse you and give you strength.

Hope does exist to heal OCD, you are not alone in this my friend.

For anyone who has struggled with time-consuming rituals, the prospect of being freed from those rituals opens what could be limitless amounts of time to live your life and pursue your dreams.

Mind Training with "Da Bulls"

I was reading about pro basketball coach Phil Jackson. Any basketball fan knows he is the former coach of the Bulls when they were winning every year. He then went on coach the Lakers.

I don't follow basketball enough to know what he is up to now.

The article I read sure made me sit up and pay attention, because anyone following my "6 Master Keys to Heal OCD" course would get HUGE benefit from one simple technique Phil reveals in this article.

The article dealt with Phil's ideas about visualization and mind training.

As a professional player, Phil practiced in his mind before games. Then, as a coach, he eventually started doing the same mind rehearsal before the games.

Many elite athletes know the value of mind practice.

But it wasn't that obvious for Phil at first. He claims to have had a melt down directed at a referee and got booted from a game. It was then he remembered how handy this mental imaging before games had been for him as a player. So why not try it as a coach.

The effect was immediate and dramatic.

Not only did he control himself better as a person, he practiced strategy mentally beforehand. His whole team began to benefit from this visualizing coach Phil did.

This mental practice led Phil to discover how to shut down Magic Johnson, and help key players to dig deep when needed to make the difference.

He claims to have spent at least 45 minutes, and usually more doing this mental rehearsal. It was not an option to skip this mind practice.

As he taught open minded players these techniques, they claimed that it got to the point of anticipating where the ball would be. Anticipaing plays no one else saw coming.

Entering a flow state of optimal performance began to be easier and easier to slip into for the players who practiced this pre-game mind visualizing.

Now why am I writing you about mental techniques for basketball?

Because of a recent letter I just got from one of my readers.

He was very happy to be making measurable gains in diminishing OCD. He was feeling more peace of mind and starting to short circuit OCD tricks before they could mess with his mind as before. He was a happy camper.

But he suddenly had a new problem.

See, his whole life had been so consumed with the constant badgering of OCD, that getting through a day was a true accomplishment.

So as he dramatically began diminishing the pain he had lived with for years, and started feeling better, all the other life issues he had neglected, came rushing before him.

He was on one hand over joyed to be feeling so in control of his OCD. But career decisions he had been forced to put off were just now beginning to bother him.

I anticipated this when the program was designed, it is common to have new (old) issues pop their heads up again.

This readers letter was a sure sign he was making serious progress. Even faster than I anticipated.

So I sent him a very special reinforcement training my readers typically get about six weeks into their program.

The follow up reinforcement leads you to discover what you really want at the deepest levels of your being. Focusing so heavily on OCD for so long, most sufferers have lost contact with this piece of their person.

Tapping into your desires and dreams, means you can begin working quickly to accomplish those things.

And the Phil Jackson article was a perfect example of a way to magnetize your desires, so they are literally drawn to you.

This mind training when done like I teach you, will allow you to try out skills and talents and tap into your highest levels of performance - in a very non-threatening, non- stressful way.

This means once you begin subduing OCD, you will have a very real power to launch into projects and unfinished business you've wanted to accomplish.

The mere finishing of these unfinished "to-do's" will further give you even more energy and tremendous momentum to move toward your dreams.

This is when it starts getting really fun... when you both feel good, and are making serious gains.

Obviously, until you get control of the images in your head, you might avoid poking around in there. It can be scary. If you pick up my course, I can show you when it is ok to start inserting new images. Ones that make you feel peaceful and unstoppable at claiming the happiness you deserve.

http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com/

P.S. Perhaps from where you sit right now, just feeling better and quieting OCD will seem good enough for you. That is ok. The really exciting news is that you will quickly feel so good... you just can't resist doing things you've always wanted to do, but felt held back for one reason or another.
http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com/

Mission Impossible - Do YOU Accept?

Do you remember the original Mission Impossible tee vee show... you know, before Tom Cruise.

I watched reruns as a kid. It always started out with an impossible assignment, then the picking of a team, then high pressure and stress - was channeled into a successful outcome.

Having OCD is a rare opportunity to live the Mission Impossible lifestyle daily! Let me explain.

If you ever saw the show, or heard about the movie, you know it involves an elite team taking on a big assignment no one else can handle.

Now let me ask you...

How well do you think any of those players would do in the Mission Impossible game, if any of them let things like:

Fear and Aggression

Anger

Insecurity

Loneliness

Uncertainty

Resentment

or Emptiness, grab them by the shirt collars? Of course they would never be able to keep the focus needed to accomplish the task.

Think of the frustration factor alone. How many things actually went as planned for them? Practically nothing.

So by staying calm, focused and relaxed - despite frustration, they proceeded according to plan... with the goal in mind... and could change on the fly if a new piece of the puzzle appeared.

Life is full of surprises and frustrations. I won't tell you I enjoy being derailed from my daily goal by the unexpected. But if I must respond to this new hurdle, which will keep me flowing better toward my ultimate goal:

1. Getting frustrated, or falling into any of the failure mechanism activating reactions from that list above.

2. Maintaining a flexible mindset that is relaxed and inspired to dig deeper in responding to the hurdle.

When it is other people, it is easy to see which makes more sense. But if I turn the spotlight onto myself, it sure becomes difficult to see the wisdom in staying flexible and optimistically relaxed.

I said difficult to stay relaxed and poised under pressure - not impossible.

It takes practice to do this under pressure. That is why in Clark's course you have certain things you practice daily, so you can be prepared when the bombs start going off.

In fact, with OCD, the more you prepare the ground ahead of time, the easier it is for your crops to take root and handle any storms.

Failing to cope successfully with an OCD thought or ritual you don't want, can drive it deeper into you. And when we physically react to a mental stress, that is tension in our bodies.

Too much tension, or a sudden mental SHOCK, can send a person into a fight or flight state. And there are a large group of people that never fully recover their body from that trauma - and end up carrying it within them.

Think of pulling around a sac of bricks day in and day out. Now ask yourself if that could get tiring and become yet another cause for added stress and frustration.

Overtime, the above accumulated effects make a serious dent in your health and well being. That should be obvious.

And when you become aware of how people lock stress into their bodies, you notice all types of physical effects of this tension in people.

Since this blog is about doing something productive and not sitting around whining -what can a person do to lessen the effects of stress from OCD? And is there a way to actually inoculate yourself from experiencing future stress from OCD?

Gosh... I'm glad you asked.

Read this passage from Richard Strozzi-Heckler, black belt in Aikido:

"The notion that the only alternatives to conflict are fight or flight are embedded in our culture, and our educational institutions have done little to challenge it... The aikidoist, however, trains to respond to aggression by entering into the center of the attack, blending with its energy, and then guiding it into a neutralizing joint lock or throw. If the attacker can be seen as a metaphor for the many attacks of everyday life (conflict with a teammate, disagreeing with a superior officer, running late for an appointment, etc.), it's possible to translate this experience of blending into ordinary activity and interaction."

"Despite my frustration today I can see that these men are beginning to experience the effortless and satisfying power inherent in blending. They're experiencing how working with the energy of a conflict, instead of fighting against it, can lead paradoxically to its resolution."

Well my friend, these above words, if applied to OCD have the power to set you free.

This is essentially what I teach you how to do. Because it is possible to come at this whole OCD issue from a totally different way.

And a fresh new perspective, one that really works despite it simple appearance, could be all you need to change your life for good.

What would it feel like to throw OCD across the room, with a big smile across your face.

Would that feel different, deep in your body, than battling a vicious OCD thought attack toe to toe?

How much energy does that suck from your life to constantly be fighting an invisible enemy? Lots of energy I would say.

So just maybe the answers are to be found where few experts tell you where to look.

Rather than using force and melting your insides down from constant stress, what if you could use the strength of OCD against OCD itself and neutralize its power over you?

We will talk more about available techniques to reverse stress and tension in your body. Inside those pants, I had my money pouch, which among other things contained my passport.

Not only were my pants not to be found, but my favorite belt was gone along with the “secret” money pouch.

Hmmmm…

Not being the best planner, I was extra relieved to have taken the nervous Nellie advice to make a copy of my passport.

I simply got dressed, and went to ask the hotel manager what the heck had happened. He said a long stick had been stuck through the window slat – probably by kids.

His attitude suggested it happened all the time. I wasn’t happy. As you will see in a moment, this day turned out to be one of the happier of my life. Keep reading to find out why.

My first stop was the American consulate. After a meticulous questioning by a grey haired man that could be my grandfather, he told me what I needed to do.

First I had to go to Immigration to get another tourist visa. Then onto the police to report the theft.

All I recall from that day after the consulate was a story about an American professional baseball player getting deported for fighting and tearing up a hotel room, told to me by an immigration official. And then, going to the police department, and seeing the line of people, and saying “To heck with it…” and getting on with my life.

Maybe you’re wondering what this has to do with your OCD. Well here’s my take and your OCD self help.

Happiness is a state of mind. From moment to moment, our thoughts and feelings can change. Obsessive thoughts and images, when attacking us like a plague of locusts, can make our moment to moment existence very hard.

So anyone with OCD knows our thoughts can change.

What happened to me by accident in Veracruz is that I tapped into happiness.

I wasn’t happy that day because of external events.

I wasn’t happy that day because of things I had – most of what I had of value was suddenly gone!

I wasn’t happy that day because I was expecting something great to happen.

I was simply in the moment, trying to get things figured out so I could both eat, and walk around legally until I went back to the US.

And I’m not trying to build this up like a tragedy, or as if I overcame any big odds to succeed.

This day was a simple inconvenience with various unknowns thrown in.

Yet, being in the moment to moment flow of the day, became my happiness focus. There were too many things to do to think about the future. I didn’t have anything for my ego to relish and compare myself to others with.

I simply had to move forward, one step at a time – in optimism everything would work out and I would be taken care of.

Having everything valuable taken from me, freed my ego perhaps that day. And humbly needing the help of others, and taking my ego and future plans out of the picture, brought a smiling peace to me.

Everyone I met that day was pleasant and helpful. I left Veracruz that night with a glow in my heart, happy at the day. Thankful everything worked out… grateful for the kindness of everyone I met.

Again, how can this help someone with OCD.

What can happen when we free our minds from the grip of ego, or dependence on outside forces for our happiness (material things, the acceptance of others, future plans) and sink into the present moment without expectations, we are suddenly happy.

Now it all happened by accident that day. I’m very optimistic by nature. I’ve learned you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. But how I released my ego, and sunk so deeply into the moment that day, I do not know.

The effect was so dramatic however, that I still recall the carefree feeling in my heart.

Now I know this all means diddly if you are battling OCD. It sounds like a bunch of positive thinking crap.

But there do exist ways to daily release the clutches of the ego on you. There are methods to quiet the mind, so you can recognize the moment of the moment. And happiness can become a more constant state of mind you hold when you find it in yourself – and are not dependent on outside forces.

This deep state of happiness is something we can take a role in creating for ourselves. There is no pill to take, and it probably isn’t something you do in a day.

To start today, however, to recognize our moment to moment thoughts can determine how we feel about everything else, and learn how to alter them, when you have OCD, is a life changing thought.

We will pick this theme up again and go into way more detail to help you create this state of mind.

If you just can’t wait and want to know the exact method to let go of OCD and have a blank slate to put happy thoughts on in your mind, check out what Clark Thompson has created for you.
http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com

Peace,

Chris
http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com

Fight OCD Without Fighting

It has been written…

“Whatever you fight, you strengthen, and what you resist, persists.”

Take a person with OCD, and if you could peer inside their head, you might find horrific thoughts. At the least, you would find persistent, annoying thoughts that over time are worse than a Chinese water torture.

What begins happening to a person with OCD is a type of magical spell is cast.

If you don’t think in a particular way, or act in a specific manner when a thought comes up, you will have an undesirable event take place.

You don’t want the thought, anymore than you want to have a waste treatment plant built next to your house. But neither can you stop the building or resist having the smell come into your house each day.

And what is worse, OCD is unlike a simple bad smell coming from a treatment plant.

You can get used to anything, but OCD changes up tactics so it is always a fresh aroma you weren’t prepared for.

So you are always off guard, while at the same time being on guard against OCD. You can’t resist thoughts, neither can you do much to defend against them. I don’t have to tell you, this causes more stress and anxiety.

You strengthen thoughts and compulsions by fighting them. Any resistance causes them to grow even more persistent and troublesome.

So what can YOU do?

Well first off, I’m a big believer in doing healthy exercise that cleans my body while making me stronger – inside and out. You can do any old routine and feel better than sitting on your rump, but interior and exterior strengthening is different from what any gym or trainer is pitching.

I’m also into dissolving stress, instead of letting it eat me from the inside out.

Everyone is talking stress reduction… that we have too much stress… that disease and health problems are coming from too much stress.

But who is actually teaching you how to unplug stress at the core of your being.

Because being given a pill to mask a problem is not going to the source to uproot the problem.

And this is what I’m talking about.

Because you can’t really have success with any of the non medication techniques I show you to unplug OCD if you still are a nervous wreck.

And the last is what you are pouring into your body and mind.

You must eat healthy and think clean… not because it is what a doctor tells you or what your minister says is right – because failing to do these things properly, feeds OCD the exact nourishment IT wants.

When OCD is fat and happy, you are suffering. When you learn how to starve OCD, you gain peace. Overtime, you become strong and confident in your health, while OCD is starved into quiet solitude.

These are a few things you can do to fight OCD without fighting. Either you are suffering on your own and trying not to think about it – which is thinking about it all the time.

Or you are being told to take meds, expose yourself to your compulsions and remember the OCD thoughts are just thoughts.

Any way you cut the pie, eating it is still going to make you fat.

No matter what you are doing, OCD is being driven deeper into your mind by either trying to heal it and thinking about it more – or avoiding thinking about it… and living with the usual torment.

Now for those of you who know me, you know I only got into healing OCD because I noticed my son was showing early signs of OCD.

I have had OCD for almost a half century. BUT, I haven’t lived with it for that time. What I mean is that when OCD becomes a non-issue in your life, you know it is there, but you don’t think about it.

That is to be healed of OCD.

For example, my neighbors across the street live in what I would call a compound. They have high walls with broken glass at the top. Every few days, I might be on my front porch and see they are pulling their car out. We wave to one another and I forget they exist, until they emerge from the compound once again.

In other words, my life doesn’t revolve around what they are doing behind those walls, or when they will come out again. If I didn’t see them for a year, I might forget to recall the car gets backed out so they can go grocery shopping.

Here is a passage to read several times from Yagyu Munenori:

“Also, even though we use the term sickness, this means obsessive thought. To think of getting rid of sickness is also thought. Therefore you use thought to get rid of thought. When you get rid of thoughts, you are free from thought, so this is called getting into thought to be free from thought.”

…In the advanced level, getting rid of sickness means having no thought whatsoever of getting rid of sickness. To think of riddance is itself sickness. To let sickness be, while living in the midst of sickness, is to be rid of sickness.”

So to be have OCD as a non-issue in your life… to “BE HEALED” is to be in the midst of OCD, with no thought of OCD.

That means horrible thoughts don’t bother you. It means you aren’t enslaved to compulsions you can’t control. And it means images that once put you on the floor don’t even warrant an eye brow raise.

This is what I taught my son and it is working pretty darned good from what I see and he tells me.

And you can learn to do this too. It simply takes stretching your mind and learning some basic skills, you probably already know (and we will learn here together).

Even though you know most of these things, no one has shown you exactly how these things can help you at the most basic level. Just like any other skill in life, once you master the basics, you graduate to advanced levels and learn to control your mind more fully.

Again, I was happy to just coexist with my OCD neighbor in my head. Neither of us really bothered the other. Seeing my son start to suffer was what shocked me into writing what has worked like magic for me all these years down.

I hope the lessons I taught my son can help you learn how to heal OCD too, so you can live a peaceful and happy life!

Have faith!

Clark
http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com/

One Mental Barrier to Heal OCD

One Mental Barrier to Heal OCD

Chris again today.

(Clark has hung the do not disturb sign on his office. Unless you have blood, fire, or are one of his subscribers, he is putting all his attention on a big project to literally suck OCD thoughts out of your mind like a giant vacuum cleaner. You will want to know when this knowledge is available to use. It will change how everyone treats OCD.)

So here’s your OCD Self Help for today.

As waist lines grow larger in the US and abroad, people are losing a very old sense of mental strength. And unless you discover what it is, you risk getting pulled into this rushing current along with everyone else.

I practice martial arts and was horrified by a recent passage I read in a book. At first I laughed. Then the power of the statement and what it means for our whole society made me feel almost sick.

Without giving you the name of the book, there was a part of the story where you are asked by the author to imagine a long stair case going up a mountain in China. The words describe an ancient staircase, worn down by thousands of years of pilgrims going up to study with martial arts masters.

The author of this book is guiding you as if you are part of a tour group. I wasn’t opposed to that.

After the author describes the staircase, he asks you to imagine walking up the steps. Again, no problem from me.

But then the bomb was dropped.

The author then suggests if you are not able to make it up the steps, to ask one of the couriers who are standing by to carry you up.

What the hell?

Now, this was a visualization, not a real-time event. I have witnessed many tourists here in Mazatlan who are due for replacement hips, or knees, or are carrying 200 lbs more than they need. I can understand that in real life, the task of walking up that authors set of stairs would be downright impossible for a person that out of shape.

But this was a visualization.

And if we have grown so mentally weak we can’t even walk up a set of imaginary stairs, I think we better keep that information to ourselves.

Because inside info like that, could even give the French confidence to sail over to the US and take it over. Thank goodness the book was written after the cold war and the Russians didn’t get that nugget of information.

Now, all joking aside, one question.

How can a person expect to overcome OCD if they don’t even have the mental fortitude to “pretend” to walk up a pair of imaginary stairs?

I know the book was not written for any of my readers, because read the Six Master Keys to Heal OCD and you know Clark teaches you how to unleash physical and mental power to punch OCD right in the face.

Not turn you into a cowering milksop.

I write this blog todayas a word of warning. If everyone around YOU is getting weaker, how can you grow stronger.

How can YOU grow stronger. Me thinks that is a good question to ask yourself.

When collective standards sink so low… you are normal to be 50 lbs overweight… where can you turn to get alternative life choices to a medication only approach to “dealing with OCD.”

As a persons physical strength wanes, so does their mental power.

Instead of letting you grow fat, happy and sassy – and live with OCD – I want YOU to learn you can make OCD a non–issue in your life. And while you’re at it – actually use all that energy that up to now has been keeping OCD at bay, and direct it to catapult you to the peace and happiness you really want.

But this can only happen with the right knowledge and finding how to grow stronger around a world who wants you to get weaker.

Stay tuned as I reveal to you little known ways you can grow stronger, heal OCD and rise above everyone who wants to keep you down. And believe me when I tell you –“Anyone can learn to be stronger – no matter how weak or broken you might feel at this moment.”

You wouldn’t be reading these words unless you knew at some place in you – you do have personal power to overcome OCD.

If you can’t wait any longer to know what the exact formula is, then check out the Six Master Keys to Healing OCD now.

Best,

Chris
http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com

Is an OCD Stain Permanent?

Chris here today.

Seven years ago I was in the city of Oaxaca Mexico with my girlfriend on vacation. The city has more history than you can shake a stick at. There is a church with a solid gold ceiling and even ruins 20 minutes outside of town you can go to and climb around on.

Normally I hate guided tours. My girlfriend wanted to do a countryside tour - so of course we went.

The tour went into the mountains of Oaxaca and included a petrified waterfall that was a sight to behold. There was a stop at a Mezcal factory (that's the tequila like alcohol that DOES have the worm in it) and once everyone came out happy, our guides took the opportunity to ask for a tip. Smart move.

On the road back to town, there was one last stop in a village that made rugs.

We got out of the van (some people wobbled out after the Mezcal sampling) and had the doors to what seemed a family's home opened for us. In the far back was grandma at the loom. After the brief look at the rugs they weave, a kind young man (probably the son) told us about their family's ancient rug making methods.

When I was in Morocco, I remember our guide taking us to a family's home in Fez that also made rugs in the old way with a loom. That house in Fez had grandpa working in the back - following the traditions of old.

Rug making is quite a business I've since figured out.

But that day in Oaxaca I was smitten with the granny and wowed that the dye was an ancient concoction made from plants. That meant the color would hardly ever fade the son told us. It was a quality that modern science could not duplicate. As proof, a blanket used by their great grandfather was brought out and shown to be in good condition still. Grandma had apparently seen the blanket enough times, because she was unmoved by the blanket, or ten strange visitors in her house and worked without looking up.

I wasn't impressed enough to spend money, but the explanation of the dye and the thought of having a rug for 200 years impressed my girlfriend enough to flop out the gold card.

About two weeks later I realized we had been witness to a great sales presentation! So good in fact, of the 10 people on the tour, half bought. I think everyone was thinking about what a good buy a rug that lasts 200 years is.

Anyways, I'm not writing you to tell you about oaxacan rugs.

But there is a nugget of wisdom for you to heal OCD.

Remember the grandmother's special dye which never faded over time? Well, having horrific OCD thoughts swirl around in your head for days, weeks, years, or decades can create a permanent stained feeling.

Even when you make OCD a non-issue, some of the memories of those thoughts... can make you feel dirtier than a Tijuana flop house. So, even though you have gained control of your OCD, you still can have bad feelings bubble up - remnants of OCD thinking.

There are a few things you can do. One is get quiet. Then comes awareness and then forgiving of yourself totally.

Now, most people can not enter a quiet relaxed state at all, much less long enough to discern why they are feeling bad.

With practice, you can on demand get quiet, and sink deep into unpleasant emotions coming up. When you can do that, you have all but dominated OCD and can be on the finishing line to healing.

In the very near future Clark is going to be teaching you how to get quiet in a very effective and ancient way. It has been proven to snap OCD thinking in as quickly as one section. So keep checking back.

Then comes forgiveness. Even though it is not your fault, many times kind eyes toward yourself are needed to deal with OCD. It takes time to bring back a self image beaten down by unwanted thoughts and images. Since OCD can go undetected for years before realizing what it is, you can imagine the deep rooted hurt it has caused for some people by the time it is discovered.

So learn how to get quiet to become aware of the deep stain OCD has left. Acknowledging OCD's damage, then sinking into forgiveness, can quickly heal old wounds.

Of course there are specific techniques to do this quickly. If you want to know how to cut off a thought or images power, check out the website Clark built to help you heal your OCD.
http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com/

The famous oaxacan dye may last an eternity on a rug, but you have an option to feeling stained even one more day.

Best,

Chris

http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com/

Hidden Power Found in OCD

You might be surprised I know a secret talent YOU possess, and it has the potential to set you apart from everyone you know.

Back in the 1960’s, a famous plastic surgeon named Maxwell Maltz, discovered that repairing outer scars, didn’t heal the inner ones. He wrote a book about this.

His book, “Psycho-Cybernetics” is a wonderful book about discovering the power of your thoughts, and ability you can eventually use to control them. This creates a whole new identity and powerful new self acceptance.

For anyone with OCD, the idea of controlling thoughts is an attractive, but impossible sounding promise. I realize that. And 50 years ago, I would have thought it was a bunch of fiddlesticks.

Now, I think differently.

Let me explain.

See, what Dr. Maltz and many others have discovered is that thoughts we continually dwell on, can either help us or hurt us. Anyone with OCD will laugh at how obvious that statement is. But there is more.

Because, when you can direct your mind to focus more on the good you want to create in your life, rather than the misery or fear you want to avoid – then your life changes.

Again, this sounds very simplistic and obvious.

And this is where the possibilities for anyone with OCD become mind boggling in the most terrific of ways.

You and I dislike OCD thoughts, because they are about things we don’t want. But what if over time, you could flip the album playing in your mind over, and play the other side.

And on that other side is the view of you at your best, courageous, being successful and confident, disciplined, and knocking down goals like they were dominoes, playing over and over again.

Because one of the worst problems of OCD is the dwelling on the bad thoughts over and over again. Yet, when you learn how to flip the album playing in your head, you can use this same wiring that plays the bad stuff, to play the music you want to hear.

In case you think this is impossible, I offer you my life.

I have made OCD a non issue in my life. I have done this for the better part of half a century. I can assure you, the Master Keys I have created can, overtime, teach you how to control the music you want to play in your head.

And can you imagine what you can accomplish with the kind of mind power you have by birth.

Think of any superhero. Every single superhero has a weakness, like kryptonite. And if you were Superman (or woman)… what would your life be like suddenly if a chunk of kryptonite was removed from your back pocket. You would use your strength to its full capacity again.

You have a literal super power hard wired into your head. Most people will tell you it’s a bad thing, because they don’t understand how to harness OCD for breakthrough life potential. They are carrying the kryptonite around with them. Some experts are even passing out kryptonite along with messages of gloom and doom.

And I tell you here and now, there is a higher road.

A road with resources to lift you up and lead a course of less resistance. This is what my son was taught when he first started showing signs of OCD. Now I have added rocket fuel to these Master Keys, and tailored them to an older and more sophisticated group who wants faster relief from OCD.

In the coming weeks together we will unravel the tools you can use to actually heal your OCD. This is what OCD self help is all about. So stay tooned.

If anyone can't wait to get all the nitty gritty info on how to shut down horrific thoughts any longer, you can see what i have on my website to help you now.

Just click here now.

Stay positive and think for today about what you want.

Best,

Clark
http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com

Am I Normal With My Type of OCD?

The bird singing in the tree outside my window woke me up this morning. While the house was still quiet, I made a cup of coffee and checked my email from my website that helps people with OCD.

One of the most common types of email question I will get is asking if I can deal with horrific thoughts.

I believe in reading commonly available books about OCD, most people find that compulsive habits are the OCD traits cast into the spotlight most. Newspapers, magazines, and typical depictions people (even with OCD) have of OCD is the handwashing, germ fearing person that can't step on cracks.

That image is not wrong. I'm relived people are creating helpful resources to deal with those troublesome habits.

But the questions I get most often revolve around thoughts, and how to control them.

Yes, not being able to stop tapping your foot with all your will is bad... but it is less disturbing than having thoughts of hurting the people who are most loved in your life... or thinking about a distastful sexual act... or having your day ruined by a negative thought that has "jinxed" your happiness.

It is the mental torrment, the horrific thoughts that you don't want to have that are the deeper root of OCD suffering by many.

Again, I'm not making light of anyone who has compulsive habits they want to erase. What most outsiders... and MANY people who have OCD don't realize, is the dark nature of the horrific thoughts. And that is what people write me constantly, asking me if I can help them eliminate those types of thoughts and images.

And as I sat listening to that bird this morning, while drinking my coffee, and reading more emails about obsessive thought torrment, my heart was melting like wax.

Because life is hard enough with the day to day challenges we all endure with our stations in life. No one needs to have secret demons running through their mind, and poking around where it hurts most.

More and more people are getting informed and finding out what OCD is really about. And when you do learn the whole story, you start to feel more calm, because you know you're not alone.

You discover there are ways to heal OCD, and no one is doomed to a life of silent torture.

What ever you are facing right now... unspeakable thoughts... compulsions that you can't control... images you wish you could erase like a blackboard... take a deep breath and know that you are NOT stained. You are NOT the problem - it is your OCD!

For more in depth techniques on how to erase images when they bubble up to the surface, and how to root out and destroy painful thoughts, check out my website for the course I put together.

http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com/

You really can heal OCD.

Each day can be an experience to learn more about yourself and discover you can heal and live with joy!

Happy Sunday

Clark

http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com/

Secrets to Dissolve OCD thoughts

A friend from work who I’ve known for years, came up to tell me he’s turning over a new leaf. He has problems with alcohol and his life has been turned upside down several times through ongoing battles with the bottle.

He told me he’s tired of this cycle and ready to make deep changes.

I salute anyone with the courage to confront life difficulties, but that is not why I have written you today.

If fact, the reason I’m writing is while listening to my friend, I noticed one thing he mentioned several times that I think can help every single one of us who deal with thoughts and compulsions we don’t want.

As my friend told me how he wanted to be free of pain and be happy, he kept referring to his emotions with downward thrusts of his hands.

Motioning down like he was trying to jam more trash into an already filled bin.

This to me looked like an unintentional effort to suppress emotions, rather than let them go. Over time, continually packing emotions further and further below the surface causes a dam to burst.

For example, in Mazatlan, when the tropical rains start in the summer, the water fills up the city streets in minutes. But that’s not the worst part.

There are canals to handle the overflow of water, however, trash built up over the dry season creates a clog and the water spills over.

One year ago, one area of town had an underground parking garage that flooded totally. The cars were completely submerged. The water had to go someplace, and the underground garage was perfect!

When we push thoughts down, drowning them deeper out of sight, built up energy has to go someplace. Where that energy eventually explodes can be different for everyone.

There is a better way to handle thoughts and exploding life conditions we don’t want to have any longer.

And it is ridiculously simple.

In fact, my friend and I went through one exercise I teach in my Master Keys Course. We did the whole thing in under 5 minutes. Additional practice of only minutes, will guarantee my friend starts taking out the trash to be hauled away, so it doesn’t build up in his house.

The trick is to avoid driving the emotions in deeper.

The danger of handling them in a direct, forceful manner is they grow in size and strength. Willpower alone, can make thoughts nastier to deal with and let go of.

Unfortunately, a head on approach is how many people are taught to deal with emotions, fears and anxieties.

Instead, use the technique of the Judo master. I once watched a Judo master simply tap a charging opponent, and send his body flying across the room. The master didn’t even use any force. All the Judo master did was use the enemy’s momentum and strength against himself.

Think about that. The bigger, more horrific a thought, the easier it can be directed to dissolve itself when guided by a Judo master.

Using this Judo technique will have the double effect of freeing you to have more confidence in unexpected life situations, and take the air out of thoughts you don’t want.

Your life will change from the very first day you begin using this technique. That I guarantee.

You can heal yourself of OCD!

Best,

Clark

http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com/

OCD Self Help Worry Cure

I have to admit, the news media in the US is like a pack of bubonic plague carrying fleas… latching onto any opportunity to infect us with fear and scare the poop out of us.

For example, for any readers from the US – are you scared senseless about “The Recession” yet? Gosh, if you’re not… please go watch a few hours of CNN and get with the program.

My good buddy Chris was telling me all about a certain work event he was loathing having to attend over a week ago. In fact, he spent several days bellyaching mainly to himself and occasionally to me, about having to cancel a date, to attend this work event.

I can imagine him going around and around in his head. First how to get out of it. Then how to minimize his time spent there. Then finally, how he was actually going to pretend to have a good time.

Chris spent days thinking these scenarios over. And the end result?

He gasp… had a good time. His hot date, would have cancelled anyway, because of a family commitment.

“So what good did all the misdirected energy do Chris?”

Not much good I suspect.

How many times in life do we allow our OCD thoughts to have us running around like a squirrel gathering nuts in a dog park. Never at peace, on the lookout, always whistling in the dark.

The media doesn’t help things mind you. The Bird Flu thing comes to mind on that note too. I can remember a woman I know actually pronouncing the end of the world when the media rolled that bird scare out. Now, months later, what about all that fear they stirred up?

So for today, turn off your tv, and put down the paper.

Take a walk and think about breathing in peace, instead of messages that will aggravate our already active minds. Assuring you are thinking more about what you do want to create... and less about things that can slip into our mind and trouble us, is a big OCD self help habit.

Peace,

Clark
http://www.obsessive-compulsive-disorder-help.com

Is Self Help Real to Heal OCD?

Howdy,

Chris here.

I’m the other author of this blog and mainly stay in the background – except for when Clark is laid up with a head cold and decides to pull the emergency chain for me to write this for him.

Today I have a story for you that will illuminate how you can heal your OCD faster.

When I was 15 years old I got my learners permit to drive. In Minnesota, you can climb behind the wheel solo at sixteen. At 15 you could motor around with an adult.

My family is big on safety – mainly my uncle Fred. He gave me a lot of good advice around that time, every scrap of it forgotten. Except for one nugget:

When I told him I had the right away after a near miss with a speeding car – he said “Right away doesn't mean $h1t if your dead Chris!”

He was right about that - and I have never forgotten it.

There was also a rusty old long haul truck driver named Dave that gave me advice.

Dave would come over to plow the snow at my grandfathers shop, then come in for donuts and coffee. His advice I listened to.

Why? Probably because he had a way of making everything sound interesting and also had all the hours behind the wheel of a big rig to back up what he was saying.

Anyway, one of my fondest lectures was about how to spot police. His days driving a big rig were before electronic police detectors or “fuzz busters” as he called them. That meant he would have to look way into the distance under bridges, and into the ditches. Of course, if he was unfamiliar with the road, he might choose to drive slower… But who really wants to do that right?

So Dave became so good at sensing when a police car might be lying in wait, he went years without a ticket.

When he saw I enjoyed his stories, he would tell me how to warn other drivers of upcoming police, or how to tell a trucker it was ok to pass, all with your headlamps or tail lights. At the time it seemed interesting anyway.

Now I realize his police evading stories are perfect for anyone with OCD.

Why?

Because no matter what state or country we are from… what kind of car we drive… we are all driving down a similar road if we have OCD.

On one hand, we can drive so friggin slow and use so much caution… that your life could go backwards if it gets any more cautious.

Or we can punch the accelerator and blaze down the highway without any regard for our health or those around us.

A better plan is to look at the map ahead of time. That way we can get an idea of where we want to go. Then, become aware of the road and the changing conditions.

When you are a beginning driver like we all were, you can barely look past your head lamps.

after all, "How can you spot a highway patrol," Dave might say, "if you are looking 15 feet off your bumper?"

As a beginner to managing OCD, this is a tough balance to manage. Doing two or three things at once takes first controlling each element. Next, you begin combining them. Then you can begin looking into the distance and still drive safe.

My point of this is there is a lot of Hope for anyone with OCD! Managing OCD takes time and you are already on the right road if you are pecking around the internet looking for other people who have healed OCD.

You may not think your car works as well as others around you, but in time – you will simply control yours with more skill. You already sense it is futile to be mad at why your car doesn't work the same. You just know it is time to figure out how to use what you've been given in an optimal way.

You will learn it is possible to heal your OCD.

It takes time to master any new skill. Overcoming OCD is no exception.

So sit tight and stay the course.

Chris
http://www.ocdanxietyselfhelp.com/
